But this guy from a coin of the era doesn't look anything like the guy in the Matrix.
Okay, this guy does.
But this guy looks more like my UBJ logo than the latter Carolingian image usually associated with the Fisher Kings.

A decidedly chymical interpretation of the "Merovingian" - most especially with the Persephone moments - making it an extravagant homage to the troubadours and their special form of alchymical praxis.
Without question The Merovingian is my favorite character in that trilogy......no one comes close to his wit.
