Black and Asian

I can see what John Meyer was saying when he stated that he wasn't attracted to Black women.
People's tastes are subjective and Black women just don't do it for Mr Meyer.
I view many Asian women the same way.
Sure, some are very attractive - but most just don't do it for me.

Sure, some have huge boobs but most lack ass or any type of muscle development.
With the slight frame - I'd feel as though I were messing with a little girl.

Many people on an Asian blog commented that the Black/Asian blend looked odd or even unattractive.

I don't know... Esther Baxter seemed to turn out alright.

Amerie,

Kimora Lee Simmons, Naomi Campbell, Chili (TLC), and Tatiana Ali all turned out okay too.

Blacks v. Asians

While on the site of an Asian woman, the topic of Black violence against Asians came up.
Many people commented that poor Blacks were seen as the aggressors while poor Asians were seen as studious members of the "Model Minority".
Many people cited reports of Asian shop owners being victimized by their Black patrons as proof of such theories.
But the thing is - most Blacks are harmed by other Blacks, most whites are harmed by other whites, and most Asians are harmed by other Asians.

But what is the cause of this bitterness?
I know about fifty people of Asian descent.
Of these, only two or three are male.
Sure, most Asian women are not as thick as the one pictured above - but many are still quite attractive.
Maybe I view Asians by the image shown in American media.
Maybe I view Asian women as attractive while I view Asian guys as nerds.
Maybe I forget that Asian guys dominate Hip Hop dance and some are members of the Chinese Triads or Japanese Yakuza.
Maybe I forget about Yao Ming or Ichiro Suzuki.
Maybe I forget that Tiger Woods and Hines Ward are half-Asian.

WTF?

What's wrong with wearing an American flag on one's t-shirt on Cinco de Mayo?
Well... If you happen to be a student at Morgan Hill High School in California - you could get kicked out of school.
According to the 2000 census, Morgan Hill was 27.5% Latino/Hispanic.
More recent 2007 stats show an increase to 31.3%.
Has being politically correct infringed upon the rights of students to show loyalty to the country in which they reside?

Apparently Roger Ebert forgets that this is still America and not (yet) Mexico.
No Roger, it would be similar to kids wearing an American flag t-shirt on Columbus Day, St. Patrick's Day or Juneteenth.
But then again - no one would see these as being racist or anti-(fill in ethnic group here).

BP Just Effed-Up

There was once a time when the Gulf area contained so much crude oil that it would just seep up through the ocean floor and create ponds of oil which would create "islands" known to those who would traverse these parts.
But when oil was discovered and processed at the nearby Spindletop site - the "oil pond" disappeared.

The Gulf area is used to oil and it's production into usable products.
Many down here work at (or have worked at) refineries and understand the costs and dangers associated with the oil industry.
BP just effed-up.
Initial reports were of a small leak, then a medium leak and now reports are that the recent leak has turned into a full-blown spill made up of, not one, but three leaks.

In an area known for oil refineries - why did BP wait until the spill became too big to control to attempt containment?
Wouldn't it have been easier to contain a spill that only covered a few square miles instead of lying and waiting until the spill became unmanageable?
Shouldn't the company have told the truth about the size of the problem and immediately deployed floating booms, skimmers and chemical dispersants?
If the scope of the problem was known from the start - there were more than enough resources available nearby to have mitigated the damage done by this spill.

Stamford, Conn. (The Worst Place on Earth?)

As I visit the homes of those I help out - I notice that many of these people spend their days watching The Young and the Restless, the judges, and daytime talk shows.
As Oprah is poised to give up her daytime crown - what format will usher in the beginning of a new era in daytime television?

Before The O - daytime television was dominated by a more newsy Phil Donahue.

But as audiences became more interested in the dirty laundry of others.

Shows hosted by Rikki Lake, Sally Jessie Raphael, Montel Williams, Jenny Jones and Geraldo Rivera became commonplace.

But even these shows failed to push the envelope far enough to satisfy an audience enthralled by the salacious details of other's lives.

"You are NOT the father!", seems to be the best news a guy can hear on daytime television today.

As Universal/NBC has moved the taping of it's three popular syndicated talk shows (Maury, Jerry Springer, and Steve Wilkos) to Stamford, Connecticut to lower it's production costs - has Stamford become the clearing house for those from the hood, barrio or trailer park to grab their fifteen minutes of fame?

Is Stamford now the new "Worst Place on Earth"?

With Oprah's eminent retirement - are Baby Mama Drama, Toothless Trailer Park Hookers, and guessing the gender of a "woman" the new paradigm of daytime television?

Good Marketing or Low Self Esteem ?

My video game playing is usually limited to whatever my young cousins happen to be playing at any given time.
Some games have interesting story lines between the actual game playing.
God of War would be a great concept for a movie.
Other games, like Hitman, Tomb Raider or Resident Evil, have even been made into watchable films.
Others, such as: Bloodrayne, Mortal Kombat and Max Payne, were a waste of celluloid.

To play a video game or not - that is up to the individual.
But since many of my young cousins enjoy playing such games in their down time, I often ask questions regarding the content of these games.
As long as I don't ask in the middle of an intense fighting sequence, my cousins seem more than happy to engage in a conversation about something they enjoy.

But one thing struck me as I watched them play.
For a medium dominated by those within Asian countries - many of the characters seem awfully un-Asian.
Was this by design or was it a telling sign of an inferiority complex among these Asian game designers.?

I read many Asian females mentioning that Asian women have short legs and longer torsos.
This caused Target (and other stores and designers) to create lines geared toward an Asian phenotype.
But judging by the images given to Asian women in video games - Asian women are a leggy bunch.
Besides in video games - when was the last time you saw an Asian girl with long legs and a huge rack?
With these hips, this character must be "Blasian".

Maybe these game designers were just creating their version of the 'Perfect Asian Woman".

One who had rounded eyes, longer legs and the full rack generally associated with Western cultures.

Even being given the name "Ada Wong" is no guarantee of having phenotypical features generally associated with Asian women.

Do many Asians really wish they were more "American"?

The likelihood of Beyonce's devil worship have little or nothing to do with this Thierry Mugler dress made famous in the 1992 George Micheal Get Funky video.

Now some are saying that Kobe is a "buster" because of his recent L.A. Times Magazine photo shoot.

But does the choice of clothing turn a man into a bitch?

Well... maybe if were wearing a drag outfit like Dennis Rodman's.

But these shots were probably being directed by a world-renowned Los Angeles based stylist.

But is Kobe a bitch?

Yep, sure is.

Not because he likes men (that's none of my business).

But because his response to questions to the Denver police department after his alleged rape of a hotel employee seemed to throw his teammate under a bus.

"Should have done what Shaq does... . Shaq would pay his women not to say anything.", Kobe would say.

This statement alone makes Kobe a bitch.
While I'm still a Laker fan - I hate Kobe.

Tiger was an even bigger philanderer.

But in Tiger's mea culpa - Tiger took the blame.

Tiger stated that he alone was responsible for his actions and that his friends Charles Barkley, Micheal Jordan and his handlers had no foreknowledge of his deeds.

Kobe - Bitch.

Tiger - Not a Bitch.
