I was in the neighborhood of some of my rentals when I heard that the corner store had been robbed and no one could be found who could identify the robbers.
The funny thing was - the store sold those "Stop Snitchin'" t-shirts.
But can we have it both ways?
Can we favour a "Stop Snitchin'" stance while we are opposed to police officers who live by the "Blue Wall of Silence"?

I don't know because to me it's like two gangs it's just one has the backing of the government. The Stop Snitching crowd operate with the belief that it's better to live with felons than live with the cops.
I would like to think if the Stop Snitchin Folks felt that the problem would be solved they would correct it. But since the response is usually increased military patrols that will get their kid caught in the dragnet they don't see a benefit.
Concerning to whom the fault of oppression belongs; "We are not all equally guilty but we are all equally responsible" - Rabbi Abraham Hescel
Concerning blaming others for the problem; "...And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?... - Matthew: 7 1-5
Concerning how to fix the problems concerning oppression; "Someone once said that the word 'motivation' should never be used in the singular. Some combination of motives always exist and it's impossible for anyone to qualify the proportion of each that is involved in any given act" - Warren Buffet (in an interview in the USA Today)
