Because It Looks Like Fun

So it's the fault of rappers, Bloods and Crips that America is in a state of decline?
Puh-leese!
Americans have glamorised criminals since the invention of newspapers.
How many movies and books have been produced that make Jesse James seem like an American hero?

Do I even need to bring up the influence of John Dillinger, Bugsy, Legs Diamond, Lucky Luciano or Al Capone?

So when Frank Lucas gets the same treatment, it is more of an issue with American culture than it is the glamorization of a Black way of life.

Even Bernie Madoff thought the gangster role looked like fun.
It always does - until you get caught.

Like I said, Its only about culture till you hand out the blame unevenly. The it is about color.

When I was growing up in a full Black/Muslim part of Compton we use to run around reenacting scenes from Scarface. My favorite movie is the Untouchables and my friends and I all stop when Casino or any other Mafia flick comes on.

What did Cash Money Records name their company after but Cash Money Brothers off of New Jack City. What are the names of the rappers of the 80's but some old Italian names like Biggie aka Frank White.

It's the culture but when it influences the lower levels of society its a GOD DAMN problem!

IMO - Many of the "lower levels" only see the fun but most miss the consequences of such stories.

i.e. The Godfather.
-Michael was smart and thought before he took action. He lived to die an old blind man in Sicily.
-His brother was a hot-head who was gunned down in a toll road booth.

The meassage should have been to think before you act - not; that being a gangster enables you to bully people.
