We're partway there... we have this part already:
"Homes without a new SMS-enabled phone can receive SMS using Telstra's Talking Text service that was launched in 2004. The technology converts text messages into speech that is relayed to the person answering the home phone."
I shut off my home phone.. It was just money wasted.
UBJ~I think we have this already. I saw commercials this weekend for the Verizon Hub. Is that the same thing?
that company is also smart enough to sponsor a pro rugby team. we "Yanks" will never be that smart.

Yeah, it (Verizon Hub) seems to be the only way home phone service will still make any sense (unless it's already bundled with your cable/internet service).
