Back In The Day...

Kids used to want to be like their parents.
These days, it seems as though too many parents wish to be like their children.

Well people who were losers work hard to make their children winners. It happens in sports too. The difference is people want to know who was the parent to a star and how they were. So these constant interviews make the loser parent feel now they are important too and they feel their second chance has arrived.

Many people do the best they can with what they have.
There is no shame in this.

It is only when parents stop being parents that kids go wild.
A lot of successful people came from poorer neighborhoods but their parents still remained in control.
The parnets knew when to say, "No" and when to break out the belt.
The parent sacrificed to ensure the best chances for their children.
The parents did not ride on the coat tails of their own children.
In many cases, the parent-child dynamic has shifted.

The difference is the people who came from the poor areas didn't turn into popstars! It seems to me the loose parent who raises loose kids will take the opportunity from their childs fame to be loose again.

Loose morals or loose morals it's just no one is watching what comes from the hood.
