One of my friends is developing a neighborhood which caters to aspirational Blacks in the small town in which I currently live. What's the name of the main street in the development? "Yassmine Dior". Sounds like the name of a stripper at the Player's Club to me.
John, I expect you to stop that development by.any.means.necessary - permitted to go to completion, that mokey jokey promises to set us back a good 80 years on a nationwide basis.
By your comments it looks like the Chinese want to invest. A play on Christian Dior perhaps? BEcause we all know brand names are what we should be spiring toward. So instead of Dubois Ave or Douglas Drive, you get Malik Lauren Lane and Shanikwa Gabana Cir.
Concerning to whom the fault of oppression belongs; "We are not all equally guilty but we are all equally responsible" - Rabbi Abraham Hescel
Concerning blaming others for the problem; "...And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?... - Matthew: 7 1-5
Concerning how to fix the problems concerning oppression; "Someone once said that the word 'motivation' should never be used in the singular. Some combination of motives always exist and it's impossible for anyone to qualify the proportion of each that is involved in any given act" - Warren Buffet (in an interview in the USA Today)

Is Tyler Perry involved with funding it?
@ Val -
Yassmine - Yes.
Dior - Nope.
@ SeeNew - The thing is, no one is building in that neighborhood because the street names sound too ghetto for even the acquisitive.
TP? LMBAO.
Sounds like yet another celebrity fragrance to me.
Man someone is actually putting together ghetto fabulous in reality. I'm interested to see what this area will look like.
Yassmine Dior I thought I was in Philly and you were trying to say Ya-Mean!
Ay send me pictures of how this goes down because although I think it's funny if it works it's something to be understood about the psyche of people.
