Paisley (http://justpaisley.whypaisley.com) commented on an earlier post of mine;
"i am so over all this color shit..."
Truth be told - me too.
Been over it.
It was never (well... in recent years) more of a problem than we made it.
Obama won because his issues were bigger than race.
Race was a problem for the simps to fight over.
Are we talking genotypes or phenotypes?
Medically, race may have some merit.
Socially, race is largely obsolete (or should be).
We still can't even seem to agree on a universal definition of race.
But just when you think that America has a chance to become post-racial.
Blogs like this (http://whyblackssuck.blogspot.com/) crop up.
It makes as much sense as attributing all of the traits of white people to the headlines in the morning papers.
If we keep looking for racism - we'll find it.
If we keep looking for the good in people - we'll find that too.
The rest of Ms Paisley's comments are more important.
Eff the pageantry, she wants to know about policy, issues and answers - not a minor (in most cases) distraction like race.
Like the Steeler's expectation of Mike Tomlin - it's about results.
My opinion?
ReplyDeleteWhy publish the site. It increases his traffic. Alone he's nothing.
sure race shouldnt matter, but to many it does. It not mattering to you equates to being on the high road. It not mattering to me is the road to ignorance. History has handed me a responsibilty to not ignore the racist but fight him.
ReplyDeletei love that word "simps" cuz you nailed it there.... there are so many people that are just that,, just simple followers who prey on anything they believe makes them look better... we cant let them win... there may be a lot of them,,, but we got quality on our side.......
ReplyDeletethanks for the luv man....
When affirmative action and pro-black racism end, I will take down my blog, happily. When people stop blaming "YT" for all black problems, when we can squarely and honestly look at black problems like crime and poverty, and call for greater black responsibility rather than more handouts and apologies, then my blog will no longer be needed. I'm not a racist, I'm just calling for racial equality.
ReplyDeletePro-black is just as racist as pro-white, isn't it? And if everyone is going out of their way to be anti-white, well, I'm going out of my way to be anti-black.
THAT is equality. I was raised to be "post-racial", but you know what? More and more white racism is being created everyday by America's continuing and ongoing anti-white racial discrimination and anti-white culture.
Blacks who claim to be "post racial" are oh-so-happy to take the benefits of affirmative action discrimination, as long as it is your favor. TRUTH! Name me one black group or politician who is calling for an end to AA? Name just one!
I am exposing "Post-racial" blacks for what they are: racial HYPOCRITES!!!
@ Debo Blue - Ignoring cancer won't make it go away.
ReplyDelete@ brohammas - Nah, not really.
I just get lucky a lot and end up being good in some things that some others value.
I don't think I'm better than anyone, I just know that they can't devalue me.
It takes no effort at all.
If some Billy-Bob doesn't like me, so what.
They'll just like me less after I beat them in something that they think I'm not supposed to.
But everyone has THAT responsibility. Not just those who suppose a sort of guilt for something they've never done to begin with.
@ paisley - No problem.
@ Indra Maghavan -
- I think everyone's calling for equality
- Yes it is.
I'm pretty sure that I've said nothing that is anti-white.
- As an example?
What is "White culture"?
- Barack Obama - I'll look for the link that quotes him saying so.
-How?
But what purpose do all of your machinations serve?
To tell the truth, Martin Kelly did a better job of your sort of whining on his old site. Just find his new site and read his old one. Maybe you could learn a few new tricks.
I wonder if the conversations would be the same if Hillary Clinton had won the presidency. I mean could we not - should we not - make the same assertions about gender.
ReplyDelete"Medically, gender may have some merit.
Socially, is largely obsolete (or should be)."
One need only to look at the self gender reporting now where transgender is often an option.
My point here is that there have been "isms" against race or tribe since the beginning of time and it is doubtful that that will ever change. Unfortunate - but doubtful. What a wonderful world we would live in if it were truly color blind. Think about it. There would certainly be no need for AA but there would also be no red-lining, no employment discrimination, no genocide and the list could go on and on. But, alas - we still live in a world in a country that is unable to look past the obvious.
@ SjP - "...there have been 'isms'..."
ReplyDeleteThat's the point of the whole post.
I THINK INDRA IS CONFUSING THE CASTE SYSTEM IN INDIA WITH WESTERN RACISM.
ReplyDelete@ GDAWG - I thought so too. But them I thought that he/she was just using any name of an arbitrary War god.
ReplyDeleteMan... I opened that site. I'm not even going to state the obvious. But I agree with you. If we look for good we will find it. We should not let the bad drive us, but we must never forget the bad. I'm from South Africa and although we are "over" race we live it daily. Look for the good but never forget the bad stuff that happens every single day because that is why we need more of the good stuff.
ReplyDelete@ Angry (Anglo) African (That PC "Anglo African" still cracks me up)
ReplyDeleteYep.
