It seems that some things in an (almost) antebellum state never change.
When our local news reports started reporting that a Black man was missing in an East-Texas town...
No one wanted to even imagine that the disappearance could have been racially motivated.
In much of Da' Souf... Which would be more damning?

I dunno, it sounds like a hypothetical question from you. But if he was married and hanging out with another woman,could it have been the scorned wife?
This bears investigating before drawing conclusions. It could also have been an angry jilted ex-boyfriend of the woman's?
Anything is possible, but It's too much of a mystery right now and too many angles.

no, no one wants to bring up the racial tensions of that town since the james byrd dragging. people here comment on the 'official story' but in hushed tones. da' souf seems as though they are satisfied with being stuck in the past...
