I believe they're all pointing toward the moment of language-based human subjectivity - not necessarily to be confused with "self"-awareness, which may in fact not depend on the presence of language as its substrate.
But isn't language (whether spoken, written or just perceived) a requirement for communication. And wouldn't communication be a requirement for self-awareness?
