When Being PC Goes Too Far

What in the world were the publishers of Elle thinking?
I'm all for equal representation - but I see enough fat and unattractive women in my day-to-day life, why would I want to buy a magazine to look at them?
Maybe they chose to feature a bigger than usual girl to point out that this is a bigger than usual Fall fashion issue.
Sometimes affirmative action is just wrong.

  1. What straight guy buys ELLE magazine anyway? That would be my question. As for Gabby, I mean, she has a nice smile. Look on the bright side. It could have been worse, it could have been Mo'Nique (or however he name is spelled).

  2. I was reading the post at Val's spot and I showed this cover to my cousin's girlfriend.
I asked her if she'd buy this magazine and she said that she already does but not this issue.
Oh... and anyone else but Mo"nique.

  4. LMBAO "she has a nice smile" man I know the world is coming to an end as this cover might be proof.

Don't blame it on affirmative action some smart ass put her on the cover so you can write this post. I bet you they sold more magazines as everyone wanted to know the what the hell was going on.

I'm going to put a picture of a white guy on a post soon and then it'll be a big hit for the same reason.

  5. @ Carey - Why are my comments and the post wrong?
This is just another case of someone trying to make the (less than) average into the exceptional.
