Piye - Not "Black" History

Anyone who has seen a 'before and after' photo of Michael Jackson could raise the question of the builders of the Sphinx.
Where did Mike's nose go?

What happened to the nose of the Sphinx?

Apparently, there was a time when Egyptians forgot how to be Egyptian.
Their country and culture had been diluted with the influx of Asian and European influences to the point of it losing touch with it's glorious past.
It took the once subjugated Kushite king Piye to right the wrongs brought about by this hybrid culture.
Piye handily dismissed the Libyan warlords and restored order to the once great state.
But eventually the glory of Kush would wain as shifting trade routes and constant incursions by their Aksumite neighbors would take their toll on the Nubian rulers of Egypt.

  1. Isn't this what China is worried about by letting so called the modern world in? The same game over and over as prosperity through capitalism becomes the dominant culture and changes the morals. Then the undisciplined people who are the masses get more and more immoral and start to believe immorality is the right way. Then the wise men get punished and denigrated for having dreams of a time gone past. Ultimately the society cannibalizes itself or becomes weakened allowing another culture to take this land over because the immoral life is unsustainable and ultimately suicidal?

Or did I read to much into that?

  2. "... did I read too much into that?"
    No not really.
But I was just pointing out that it took some Black people to restore order to a failing system prcticed by a world power.
That the 25th dynasty was Black and maybe those who resented the Blackness were responsible for cutting the nose from the Sphinx.

  3. Welp it seems we all got our time at the top and maybe I was born in the wrong era and that's why I feel like shooting off their nose too!

  4. You know they say if the Eqyptians had duct tape that The Sphinx would still have it's nose; maybe the doctors should have used duct tape on Michael's nose too?!?
