Inertia

Things will not change.
The government (those in true power - not our elected officials) will always be too strong for us to control.
Why is this?
Inertia.
The Government has become so massive that it's actions can no longer be directed by any well meaning individual.
Only the government is able to steer the direction of the governed.

  1. What if we protested like European voters? Would that make a difference? Their Govt's seem to fear them. What are they doing different?

  2. We can't even seem to effect our local governments.

    But yeah...
I suppose that a revolution would work.
But most people are too comfortable to risk that comfort for any real progress to occur.
Most people are too heavily invested in the machine to wish for it's demise.

  3. I agree so the answer shouldn't be to keep pushing the elephant but to build yourself up to your own elephant. Revolution comes in many ways and one sure way is by starting a whole other way of life and then stop paying the damn taxes!
