Black Isn't Ghetto

Each photo is taken in a Black neighborhood.
But only one photo could easily be identified as being somewhat "ghetto".
If the residents decide to collectively create a culture that would be considered "ghetto" - let them be ghetto.
If the residents decide to collectively create a culture that would enable it's residents to flourish - let them flourish.
Let each enjoy the fruits of his labor.

  1. Is it the fruits of their labor or is it gentrification and money directed to a new area. In Atlanta right now they are going West behind GA tech to where the majority of the ATL rappers (T.I, Outkast and etc are from). Now anyone with any kind of money could just buy land and wait for the city to come that way. Now if a bunch of Black people held onto the land and leased the space would that be a black neighborhood or would it just a be a bunch of black people who saw the future of their own city.

In every group there are only so many people who have the vision to create viable businesses. If the education level is so lacking in a given area backed up by a lack of history of creating or running business it's damn near impossible to create these enterprises. So we are basing the ability in one area to have this type of person to create against another area (where this creative person left) and saying they created this.

Hmmmm Hmmmm Hmmm I just don't agree because most of your Black neighborhoods experience brain drain just like poorer countries like India. The government had to step in and tell them to come back and become entrepreneurs. Since no government is going to do that for us and our markets and means are more advanced that a 3rd world country then you can't really say they created it.

It's just a bit more complicated because in your own and my own dealings we see and meet people who are missing a critical step to success. In fact you and I are looking for the one with the potential to help them realize their full potential. I think I would make a mistake in thinking because people haven't created somehow translates that whatever is there is what they want. Isn't it what they know?
