Either way, were probably a ways off from experiencing a Soylent Green scenario.
(Maybe in 2013?)

But stranger things have happened.
Did Three Mile Island happen before or after the movie The China Syndrome was released?
(I know Chernobyl happened after.)

And what about all the hysteria that will be generated by the next passing of a comet or large meteor?
I doubt Bruce Willis can save us if an impact is eminent.
(Although the movie (and Armageddon) is based on an earlier television movie entitled Meteor - which was based on an MIT student's research paper dealing with the response to such a situation.)

But reading the symptoms that are occurring before ones death in the recent Ukraine cases - they seem to be emulating the script of The Andromeda Strain.
