Is Lil' Wayne The "LeBron James of Rap" ?

Denmark Vesey (Over there --> on my blogroll) calls Lil'Wayne the "Greatest Poet Alive".
In response, I stated that he isn't even the greatest rapper alive.
IMO - Rakim, Public Enemy, Gang Star and BDP were better.
But in clarifying his view, Mr Vesey says that those listed were the Oscar Robertson of rap - while Lil' Wayne is the Lebron James of rap (read: I'm hella' old.)

Oscar Robertson?
Man, at least give me Magic, Dawkins, Gervin and David Thompson...

Lebron James
6' 8" 250lbs.
Entered the big time immediately after high school.
Television, commercials, and film
(Thank goodness he doesn't think that he's as good (?) a rapper as Shaq.)
Best player in the league.
Had Gisele feeling moist.

Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.
5'6" 140lbs.
Entered the big time after getting his GED in NOLA and dropping out of college in Houston.
Television, commercials (one with James) and film
Most popular rapper in the game.
Had Katie Curic feeling moist.

Okay D.V. - I guess the Lebron=Weezy comparison works.
If;
Lebron =Lil' Wayne
Does;
Fiddy=Iverson?
Kanye=Tony Parker
Jay Z = Jordan
Eminem=Steve Nash?
Or
Public Enemy= Daryl Dawkins
Rakim=Gervin
Beasty Boys=Bird
Boogie Down Productions=Reggie Miller
Oscar Robertson?
Man... that's Run DMC.

  1. I have to say, I had a whole new opinion of Lil Wayne after the Katie Curic interview. As for LeBron, I know Giselle was happy that day, lol
