"I have devoted many years writing about schools, but much of the time I'm writing about poverty" Jay Matthews -Washington PostOr the effects of poverty on one's ability to do well in school.

Strong, smart, action-oriented men make such a significant impact on our society and our children.
ReplyDeleteI feel like something has caused men to forget the impact they can have in the world, in their communities, neighborhoods and schools.

ReplyDeleteI figured this was your kind of guy. I got very interested in his work after seeing his wholistic, or community baised approach. He does not want to pluck kids out of the nieghborhood and help them find success, he is trying to change the whole nieghborhood.
ReplyDeleteHow many people are trying to change a whole society?
We need this in Philly....bad.
@ RunningMom - Yep.
ReplyDelete@ Rippa - Yeah, but if you say that aloud, you're branded a "Sellout".
@ brohammas - Exactly.
